Puppy-mill protest held outside LI mall

Puppy-mill protest held outside LI mall: These dog lovers say they are the voices for the countless animals who can't speak for themselves.  They're talking about puppy mill puppies -- sold to commercial stores and then to Long Island fam...

At PupQuest we call commercial, wholesale "breeders" puppy farms. That is what they are. Puppy Mill and USDA licensed can occur together and often do. Don't be fooled by USDA license. US Dept of AGRICULTURE....right....AGRICULTURE. They raise and house dogs and pups as if they were livestock, this is legal but not ethical and does not provide a pup with what it needs to be a healthy companion animal. It is legal only if the farm does not violate the woefully inadequate regulations. They are rarely inspected.

Visit and learn how to identify a reputable breeder. HINT, they don't sell to pet shops!
